Mental Health First Aid is a groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Neal Conan host of NPR's TALK OF THE NATION said, "Many of us have been trained how to respond if a colleague suffers a heart attack or chokes on food, but few know how to recognize a mental health crisis, much less what to do about it.

The NWMO MRC unit leader Debra Bradley and unit coordinator Kelly Kibirige attended Mental Health First AID Instructor Training in Springfield, Missouri on March 24-28.  Sixteen new Mental Health First AID instructors graduated from 3 different states.
